St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Delta Delta Delta adopted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in November 1999. The partnership helped to provide Tri Delta members with the opportunity to unite against children’s cancer. Since then, our chapters have constantly raised money and awareness for the cause.

In 2005, a year earlier than expected, Tri Delta raised $1 million that paid for a new “Teen Room” in the hospital. In 2006, Tri Delta pledged to raise $10 million in 10 years in order to name the Patient Care Floor in the Chili’s Care Center. However, Tri Delta met the goal of $10 million in just four years instead of  ten.

In July 2010, Tri Delta announced its third commitment to raise $15 million in 5 years to name the Specialty Clinic located in the Patient Care Center at St. Jude. As of July 2010, Tri Delta members have raised nearly $16 million for the children of St. Jude.

Tri Delta at the University of Florida has personally raised over $50,000 just this year for St. Jude.
